Halloween Trick-or-Treating & Halloween Parties
The skies are heavy with ominous clouds...biting cold air envelops our bodies...and the trees are ablaze with color. It's late October- time for pumpkins, ghouls, and witches to come out and scare innocent souls, in search for a treat.
Of course, we're talking about Halloween, that most frightening time of year. West Michigan is not only beautiful in October, but there are plenty of annual events to satisfy the timid...and those that dare to be scared!
West Michigan Communities That Host Trick-or-Treating:
- Downtown Ludington - Saturday, October 27th, 2-4pm
- Mason County (including Ludington, Pere Marquette Township, and Scottville) - Wednesday, October 31st from 6-8pm
- Pentwater - Wednesday, October 31st from 6-8pm
- Hart/Shelby/New Era/Rothbury - Wednesday, October 31st from 6-8pm

Annual Trick-or-Treat events and Halloween Parties in Mason County
Sunday, October 7th
2-4pm - Fall Festival at the Ludington United Methodist Church Pavilion - 5810 Bryant Rd. Pumpkin painting, cider press, s'mores, hot dogs, hay rides, bounce house, and more.
Saturday, October 27th
10am-1pm - Pumpkin Painting Party at Sandcastles Children's Museum. Cost for non-members is general admission, 12 months and under are free.
12pm - Games on the lawn of the Mason County Courthouse- 304 E. Ludington Ave. in Ludingtonat 12pm, Halloween Costume Parade at 2pm. Both sponsored by Safe Harbor Credit Union.
2-4pm - Downtown Ludington Trick or Treating to local merchants from 2-4pm.
Wednesday, October 31st
3-5pm - Trick or Treating at Medilodge- 1000 E. Tinkham Ave. in Ludington. Free and open to the public.
5:30-7:30pm - Trunk or Treat in the Branch/Walhalla Antique Mall Parking Lot- US 10 in Walhalla. Sponsored by the Tallman Senior Center. For more info, call Melissa or Sandy at (231)757-3306.
6-7pm - Pumpkins in the Parking Lot at St. John's Lutheran Church- 209 N. Rowe St. in Ludington. Trick or treating at the church. Safe fun environment with music, treats, and candy.
6-8pm - Trick or Treating at Oakview Medical Care Facility- 1001 Diana St. in Ludington. Free and open to the public.

Saturday, October 27th
Beginning at 10:30am - Halloween on the Green & Spooktacular Parade in Downtown Pentwater. Story time at Storybook Village at 10:30am and 2:30pm; Costume contest, face painting, pumpkin painting, sack race, great pumpkin roll, and candy bags from 12-1pm; Trick-or-Treating to downtown merchants from 12-2pm; Spooktacular Parade at 1pm. Pub Crawl at 6pm.

Wednesday, October 31st
5-7pm - Trunk-or-Treat at Faith Covenant Church- 475 8th St. in Manistee. Hay rides, cider press, games, snacks, face painting, and candy.
5-8pm - Trunk-or-Treat at Bear Lake Lions Den- 7748 Lake St. in Bear Lake.
5:30pm - Trunk-or-Treat at the Norman Township Community Center- 1273 Seaman Rd. in Wellston.
